Pokemon has taken players to a lot of unique locations for the past 25 years. With the main series, spin-offs and remakes, there has been a lot to enjoy both new and veterans. One of the best things from the Pokémon areas is that they are based on real-world locations.
While many of the previous games were inspired by different regions of Japan, the newer generations have expanded their horizons. The locations around the world have been used as the base of the Pokémon Games since generation 5. These places often have important reference points incorporated in the regions, which adds a surrealistic sensation and rooted to the world of Pokémon.
