Ivan Moen, CEO of Rock Pocket Games, talks about the upcoming next-generation consoles.
Towards the end of the year (although the year has just begun), the anticipation and excitement associated with the publication of Next-Gen consoles will increase almost daily. Even now, where the consoles are still months away, there is a lot of excitement in the air, which is the case with all these leaks on an upcoming PS5 revelation event.
It is sufficient to say that we are thinking about the PS5 and the Xbox Series X - and this also applies to developers who work in the industry (probably in many cases more than most of us). Such a developer is Ivan Moen, CEO of Rock Pocket Games, which published the horror title of the first person monde of madness on the PC last year.
When Moen spoke in an interview with Gamingbolt, he answered many of our questions about the next generation consoles and their functions. One of them is the haptic controller of the PS5, which Moen holds for "very high" and that may be "adding" much to an experience. "
"I think haptics contributes a lot to an experience," Moen said. "But I also think that it is subjective for different players and depends on how the game uses it. But overall, I think the potential for an extra experience for very high. "
We also asked Moen according to the respective CPUs of the PS5 and Xbox series X (from both confirmed that they have an AMD Zen 2-chip) and how big the jump over the current hardware would be out of his view.
"This is probably a question for the developers of the Unreal Engine, but for us this means that we can do more before the game is bound CPU," Moen said. "Of course, porting on the console would be a lot more smoother because the current hardware is quite slow and the approach to the PC hardware is very helpful. This is of course limited time, as the gap between PC and console gets bigger. "
Monde of the madness is now available for the PC and will be released on March 24 for PS4 and Xbox One. Our complete interview with Moen will be online soon, so it remains on the whole thing.
