The Witcher is one of the largest franchises in Europe: from the books various successful video games have emerged and the success also caused Netflix to produce their own the Witcher series. Now, in the Polish city of Ostroleka, even a few centuries old trees were named for figures from The Witcher. So you should ever pilgrim up there, you can meet Geralt, Triss, Xennefer, Vesemir and some other people.
The Witcher: CityTradt gives old trees names of famous characters
Why that? Originally just was just looking for a way to better protect the old trees. For this, attention should be increased and the interest as well as the appreciation of the people for these several hundred-year-old plants will be increased.
The city's youth council then introduced the proposal to name the trees for figures from the Witcher books. Thus, in a sense, two flies could be beaten with a flap: on the one hand, the trees get more fame and attention (worked, finally, I even write over them now and know their names).
On the other hand, the world-famous work of Andrzej Sapkowski can be honored at the same time. The Polish culture and literature have introduced worldwide awareness, as the Youth Town Council should have explained according to dual stools. The author of the the Witcher books itself has probably got wind from the action and supported them.

- Geralt of Rivia - Oak at the intersection of the streets 11 Listopada and Boguslawskiego
- Dandelion - Oak on the street Ksiecia Mieszka I
- Regis - ash on Dr. J. Psarskiego Square, at Staszica Street
- Triss Merigold - Oak at Basniowej Street
- Vesemir - Oak at Poprzecznej Street
- Yennefer of Venergberg - Oak at the 11 Listopada Street

Apparently, not all people in the city council were excited by the plan. Apparently, some people were not quite clear how big The Witcher is actually. They should have pronounced themselves to name the trees after "wizards and rats". Good that was not belonging to you. Hopefully, special features will be installed on these trees in The Witcher: Monster Slayer.
How would you call a tree if you decide that?
